In this tutorial, we will draw the neuroanatomy of the ascending arousal system. Key structures: pedunculopontine nucleus, lateral dorsal tegmental nucleus, locus coeruleus, raphe nucleus, substantia nigra, ventral tegmental area, basal forebrain, tuberomammillary nucleus (middle hypothalamus).
