Eye Movements > Conjugate horizontal eye movements

In this video, we will learn the final common brainstem pathway for conjugate horizontal eye movements.  Inputs from the frontal eye fields for saccadic eye movements, the parieto-occipital cortex for smooth pursuit eye movements, and the vestibular nuclei for vesitbulo-ocular eye movements all ultimately pass through this final common pathway. Key structures: medial rectus, lateral rectus, oculomotor nucleus, medial longitudinal fasciculus, interneurons, motor neurons, abducens nucleus, midbrain, pons, medulla.
